About
Konstantinos Papantonis is a visual artist and director based in Athens. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and specialized in 3D animation.
His artistic practice spans installation, cinematography, and scenography, with a consistent focus on social structures and the ways they shape memory, identity, and the body. His work explores how people internalize their social position, how the body gets inscribed into spaces and narratives, and how the past, whether personal or collective, resurfaces as fragments and traces through form.
Installation sits at the core of his practice. He treats it as a layered field of experience, narration, performativity, and memory, often working with everyday materials and objects charged with meaning. Detail, decay, and materiality are central to his visual language.
He is Creative Director at AiWonderLab, an R&D AI company focused on expanding human potential through intelligent tools and creative technology.
His practice actively engages with philosophy, psychoanalysis, aesthetics, anthropology, and mythology.
